Alert: Chrome Fake Font Update

A Forbes article alerts us of a new attack out there that wants to trick you to uploading a fake font in Chrome.

If you go to a web page that is compromised, the following pop-up occurs.

Don’t download this font, if you do you will likely be hit by Ransomware!

We like Chrome over Internet Explorer and we do promote it with our customers. If any pop-up occurs in Chrome you need to be very aware of what you are doing before you just click OK or Update. Chrome gives you the option to click the “X” and not do the update – any font could be a Chrome fake font, don’t take the chance.

Stay alert when browsing and don’t fall for this Chrome fake font malware.
